Q:

What happens if my pool fails certification at the first inspection?

A:

It's all OK!! Most do.

We will provide a detailed report identifying the issues that need to be addressed, and providing suggestions on how to fix each issue.

We will make an appointment to re-inspect after these items have been fixed (must be within 60 days of the initial inspection).

If, after the second inspection, there are still issues that need to be fixed, we are able to give you a maximum of 7 days to address these issues.

After this time, if the barrier is still not fully compliant, we are required to issue a formal notice (a Form 24) to Council at which point Council will take over the process of having your pool Certified.

This will incur additional costs. We work closely with you, providing reminders and support, to get things sorted before then.
